Quality control as part of high-tech production

Our approach

Confidence at every step

At Doeko, quality control is not a final step after production. It is an integral part of the production route. By combining quality measurements with automation and traceability, tolerance stack-ups remain manageable across multiple process steps and series production runs.

This approach makes it possible to produce high-tech components, modules and systems repeatably within stable production flows.

We inspect, among others:

Measurement room

In our measurement room, components and modules are inspected in a controlled measurement environment designed for accurate and repeatable measurements. The measurement room is physically separated from production to minimise external influences on the measurements.

The measurement room is equipped with a Leitz Reference Xi CMM, which allows complex components and assembled geometries to be inspected within stable tolerance stack-ups. Because we can calibrate our measuring machines ourselves, inspections can be carried out flexibly whenever the production process requires it.

This allows quality control to remain directly connected to the production flow, without measurements having to wait for external availability.

Automated quality control

Within our factory, quality control is connected to the production environment through a robot cell in which the measuring machine is part of the production route. This allows parts to be transferred automatically from machining to measurement and then on to the next process step.

This connection makes it possible to carry out quality measurements between different process steps without manual transfer. When deviations are detected during these checks, the production process is automatically interrupted. This prevents unnecessary product rejection.

Through this integration, quality remains part of the production flow rather than a separate inspection phase.

This approach also supports traceability within the production process. Parts can be tracked through batch tracking, pallet tracking and route tracking, providing insight into production history and quality measurements across multiple process steps.

Quality within the production environment

Quality is not created only in the measurement room. At Doeko, quality-conscious working is part of the entire production environment.

Our factory is a controlled production environment, limiting the effect of temperature on dimensions and keeping tolerance stack-ups stable during machining. During production, checks are also carried out at several moments to confirm that parts continue to meet the required specifications.

The combination of practical expertise on the shop floor, experience with complex tolerance stack-ups and a broad understanding of technical drawings means that quality control already starts during the machining process itself. By carrying out in-process inspections, deviations remain manageable and parts can move on to the next process steps or assembly in a controlled way.

This approach makes it possible to produce components and modules repeatably within longer production runs.

Stable and automated process

Securing quality does not automatically mean measuring every single product 100%. When a production process is stable, automated and repeatable, there is greater control over variation within that process. Because the same steps are carried out under the same conditions, quality control can be set up in a more targeted way.

For critical products, 100% inspection remains possible, of course. At the same time, we look together with the customer at where process control, in-process measurements and sampling inspections provide sufficient assurance. This keeps quality secured without adding unnecessary measurement steps to products where production cost and lead time are also important.

This approach makes quality control part of a stable production process, instead of only a final check afterwards.

Quality control as part of integrated production

At Doeko, quality control is not a separate step after production. It is an integral part of the production route. By connecting the measurement room, automated quality measurements and traceability, tolerance stack-ups remain manageable across multiple process steps and series production runs.

This allows components to move through different operations in a controlled flow, while quality remains stable from the first setup through to assembly at module or system level.

This approach makes it possible to produce complex high-tech components, modules and systems repeatably within scalable production environments.

Practical questions and answers

Which measuring machines does Doeko use in the measurement room?

Doeko uses a Leitz Reference Xi CMM in the measurement room. In addition, a Leitz Reference measuring machine is integrated into a robot cell, allowing automated quality measurements to be part of the production flow. This allows us to combine measurement room inspection with process-oriented quality control.

Yes. Doeko can perform in-process quality measurements during production. Through automation, a measurement step can become part of the production route. This makes deviations visible earlier and allows production to be adjusted before a deviation repeats within a series.

Yes. Doeko can connect automated quality control to production through a robot cell with an integrated measuring machine. When a measurement detects a deviation, production can be interrupted automatically. This helps detect errors early and prevent series-wide deviations.

Doeko secures traceability through batch tracking, pallet tracking and route tracking within the automated production environment. This makes it clear which route a product has followed, which pallet it was on and which process steps were carried out. This supports quality assurance and repeatable production.

Yes. Doeko can provide measurement reports when required for a product, customer or application. The content of the report is aligned with the specifications and measurement requirements. This can be relevant for critical tolerances, release processes or quality documentation.
